Oberlin Instrument Restoration

Jerry Lynn has over two decades of industry experience gained by working in a busy retail shop planning and executing restorations, sales, tonal adjustments, and expertise. Working alongside skilled restorers John Panaccio, John Lantz, and Rick Riggall, his experience was supplemented by regular attendance to the VSA Oberlin Violin Restoration Workshop where Jerry currently serves as Co-administrator. Jerry has given lectures at the 2013 and 2020 VSA Conventions, the most recent focusing on the use of digital cutting tools in violin restoration. Since 2019, Jerry has been a co-host of the lutherie podcast, Omo, which deals with the romance and reality of violin making.
